Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Authors of "Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft"

Should you have used Artificial Intelligence (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) for editorial purposes, we ask that you disclose this accordingly. This serves to ensure the authenticity of literature and data, the traceability of research designs and conclusions, and to guarantee that the core of the contribution originates from the authors' own work. Any prompts used must be listed in a table at the end of the document, along with the name of the AI tool used.

An exception is made for purely AI-assisted text corrections ("AI assisted copy editing"). These do not need to be explicitly disclosed. This applies exclusively to texts written by the authors that are optimized by AI tools with regard to readability, style, tone, grammar, spelling, or punctuation. Literature references generated by AI must be verified in any case.

Responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of their research lies with the authors. AI tools (e.g. chatbots or LLMs) may not be listed as authors. Manipulation, falsification, or the creation of core content by AI is prohibited. AI-generated content does not constitute an independent literature source. Should reference be made to such content nonetheless, clear disclosure is required, along with a note that AI does not possess citable authorship in the academic sense.

AI may not be used to fabricate research elements (literature, data, figures/tables). Likewise, its use for the direct creation of the research framework, central arguments, or substantive content is not permitted. The use of AI must also not impair the reproducibility or traceability of research findings. All relevant academic and ethical standards must be observed.
