The quarterly journal "Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft" (Economy and Society) deals with Austrian and international issues of economic policy, economic theory, and socio-economic questions in other disciplines such as economic history, sociology and political science.
The journal addresses readers with interest in analyses of contemporary economic policy. Articles published in "Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft" combine insights from academic economics and real-world problems.
Each volume comprises four issues totalling roughly 600 pages. The issues consist of an editorial focusing on current economic policy debates, three to five peer-reviewed articles, and a number of book reviews. The articles published in "Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft" do not necessarily reflect the positions of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour.
